Staff clock in and out with a single tap when they arrive and leave. Managers get a live picture of who is on shift right now, can clock someone in on their behalf when a phone is flat or a tablet is at the pass, and can correct times afterwards. Hours worked flow into the shifts report alongside the rest of your numbers. Shifts also drive push notifications: staff who are clocked out do not get pinged about orders they are not there to make.

How do employees clock in?
They open the shifts page and tap once. The same button clocks them out at the end of the service, and their current shift is shown with a running timer.
What if someone forgets to clock in?
Anyone with the shift management permission can clock a colleague in or out on their behalf, and can edit the times on a finished shift to correct them.
Can I see who is working right now?
Yes. Managers get a live team list for any chosen day, showing who is currently clocked in and for how long.
Do shifts affect notifications?
Yes. Kitchen, bar, and station push notifications are only sent to staff who are clocked in, so nobody gets order alerts on their day off.
Is shift tracking mandatory?
No. It is there if you want it and ignorable if you do not. The rest of Bario works exactly the same either way.
