Every Employee Works in Their Own Language

Everyone works in the language they actually speak, in the same venue, on the same system.

How it works

Seasonal hospitality is not staffed in one language. A Greek beach bar in July runs on a Greek manager, a Dutch bartender and a Czech waiter, and asking any of them to work a shift in a second language is how orders get taken wrong. Bario is translated into English, Greek, German, Dutch, Czech and Spanish, and the choice is per person rather than per venue: each employee sets the language of their own screen, on their own device, and everybody else keeps theirs. Menu items, table names and everything else you type stay exactly as you typed them.

What's included

  • The whole app in English, Greek, German, Dutch, Czech and Spanish
  • Each employee picks their own language, on their own device
  • A manager in Greek and a waiter in Czech work the same floor at the same time
  • Your own text stays yours: menu items, table names and notes are never translated
  • Changed from the profile screen in a couple of taps, no manager needed
  • New staff can start in a language they already read on their first shift
FAQ

Six Languages, One per Employee common questions

Is the language set for the whole venue or per person?

Per person. Each employee chooses the language of their own screen, so one venue can run in several languages at once.

Which languages are supported?

English, Greek, German, Dutch, Czech and Spanish, across the app rather than only the main screens.

Does it translate my menu?

No, and deliberately. Menu items, table names, notes and anything else you type are shown exactly as you wrote them. Only the app around them changes language.

Does a waiter need a manager to change their language?

No. It is set from their own profile screen on the device they are using.

What language do guests see when they order by QR?

The public menu is a separate, guest-facing page and is served in the language the guest browser asks for, independently of what your staff have chosen.
