Know What Is Left Behind the Bar, Without Counting It Twice
Pick the items worth watching and Bario counts them down as they sell, so you find out you are low on Aperol before a guest does.
Try It Free →How it works
Bario tracks stock on the items you choose, not on every line of your menu. Switch it on for the bottles, cans and specials that actually run out, and leave the coffee and the calamari alone. Every order that goes to the bar or kitchen takes the count down on its own, and voiding an order or removing a line puts it straight back. When a delivery arrives you add what came in; when somebody counts the shelf you type what is there, and Bario works out the difference itself. Every change is kept with who made it and why, so the gap between what should be there and what is there stops being a mystery.

Stock Tracking common questions
Do I have to set up stock for my whole menu?
No, and you should not. Stock is opt-in per item. Most venues track a few dozen things that genuinely run out — spirits, bottled beer, a special — and leave the rest alone. Nothing changes for the items you do not switch on.
When exactly does the count go down?
When the order is sent to the kitchen or bar, not when it is paid. That is when the bottle actually leaves the fridge. A table that keeps a tab open all evening would otherwise leave your count hours out of date.
What happens if an order is cancelled?
The stock goes back. Voiding a whole order, removing a line from it, or reducing a quantity all return the units, and each one is recorded in the item's history so you can see it happened.
What happens when something hits zero?
It shows as a red "Out of stock" badge on the order screen and jumps to the top of your stock list, but it never stops a sale. If the count is wrong — and counts do go wrong — the last thing you want is your till refusing a drink that is sitting right there. Bario tells your staff and lets them decide.
How do I add stock when a delivery arrives?
Two ways, because they are two different things. "Add stock" is for a delivery: type 24 and it adds 24 to what is already there. "Count stock" is for a stocktake: type 19 and that becomes the number, whatever it was before. Keeping them apart is what lets you see the difference between what you bought and what you have.
Can I see why a number changed?
Yes. Every item keeps a history of every movement — sold, put back, added, counted — with the quantity, the resulting total, who did it and any note they left. A count that drifts stops being an argument and becomes something you can read.
Does QR self-ordering count against stock too?
Yes. An order a guest places from the QR menu takes stock the same way one your waiter types does. There is no back door where inventory leaks out uncounted.
Who can see and change stock levels?
Anyone who can manage your menu — owners and managers by default. You can also grant it through a custom role if you want a storeman who counts stock without editing prices.
